Position & Strategy
Your position at the table relative to the dealer button is one of the most critical factors in poker. The player who acts last holds a significant informational advantage.
Act last in every betting round after the flop. You get to see every other player's decision before making your own. Use this position to play a wider range of hands more aggressively.
You act first after the flop — before everyone else at the table. Play a tighter range from this position. When defending the SB, stick to hands that are strong enough or suited connectors with real potential.
You've already committed one blind – defend wider than you would from the SB. Use pot odds to decide whether a call is profitable. Don't fold too often just because your hand isn't premium.
